Jonathan's Numenera Game
Temple of Lloyd
The Temple of Lloyd serves as the place of worship for those in Legrash who believe in the One True Lloyd. The main entrance is rather unassuming, a hole in the side of a cliff face with wooden double doors, but the inner temple itself is a massive cavern cut into the side of the mountain capable of holding over a hundred people at once. Beyond the main foyer lies several smaller chambers that are used for resting areas or as shrines to Lloyd, and at the back of the cavern is a large mining operation, meant to dig a mine shaft deep into the mountain.
The temple holds sermons twice a day, once early in the morning, and again in the evenings. The morning sermons consist mostly of summaries of the day’s work intermingled with words of encouragement, but the evening sermons contain messages from the Way of Lloyd, and invitations for passing pilgrims and merchants to learn more about the One True Lloyd. During the day, the worshipers work in the mine shaft in the back of the temple, searching for the presence of Lloyd in the mountain.
